Week #1 Photo.....The Gates of Hell

This picture is a bit weird. At my job there is a set of swinging one way doors. Entrance and Exit. So I kicked one of the doors open and snapped the picture as it was closing . Its a lot of lines and the doors serve as a frame for the photo. There are many possible subjects in the picture as well.

Week #1 Photo....God Bless America

This was also made at my job, At this angle the tall building looks kind of neat against the clear blue sky and the American flag in the wind adds a touch of patriotism in my opinion :-)
This picture has lines from the flag pole and also the windows on the outside of the building , and the treee branches. The American flag also has diagonal lines to contrast the vertical lines in the picture.

Week #1 Photo.....Untitled

What I like most about this picture is the symmetry that is on both sides of the food line....

Week #1 Photo .....Hell's Kitchen

Since these pictures are supposed to represent what I see through my eyes I definitely had to "make" some pictures at my job. I work in a restaurant that is located in a retirement home for millionaires in downtown, Norfolk, Va. I think this is an interesting shot because of the depth of the picture and the way different objects frame the subject in the middle. The layers in this picture also make it a bit more interesting , and the fact that the walk way kind of leads to a subject in the foreground and a subject in the way background.

Week #1 Photo.....Still Morning

I took this picture with my camera phone very early in the morning around 6:00 a.m or so on the way to work in downtown Norfolk,VA. The scope is located in downtown Norfolk,VA , and if you look hard enough you may be able to s thin layer of snow on top of the Scope's domed ceiling. I really like this picture.

The Academic Arena

This photo was taken on the campus of Norfolk State University where I attend college. I like this photo because for me it is two pictures in one. The refelction definitely adds to the picture.
